THE BIG STORY
π¨ OpenAI’s GPT-Image-1 now available via API for all developers

After winning over millions of users through ChatGPT, OpenAI’s GPT-Image-1 image generator is taking the next step. The technology that made such a splash is now open to every developer via API, paving the way for easy integration into your apps and creative services.
Details:
-
Lightning-fast adoption: more than 700 million images generated in just one week after its launch in ChatGPT last March
-
Expanded creative features, including stylized image generation, precise text insertion, advanced editing, customizable formats and adjustable moderation settings
-
A professional ecosystem already in place, with integrations at big names like Adobe, Figma, Canva, GoDaddy, HubSpot and Instacart
-
Flexible token-based pricing: input text ($5/million), source images ($10/million) and generated images ($40/million), or roughly 2 to 19 cents per creation depending on the quality you want
Why I’m telling you about this ‡οΈ
This opening marks a major turning point for AI-assisted visual creation. Far more than a simple image generator, GPT-Image-1 via API makes it possible to imagine new user experiences: real-time marketing personalization, instant graphic prototyping, or visual educational materials. OpenAI is rolling out this technology strategically to establish itself as the go-to creative engine in the tech ecosystem.
π₯ Kling AI 2.0: A new era for visual creation

Chinese startup Kling AI has just hit a milestone in AI-assisted creation with the simultaneous launch of two remarkable models: KLING 2.0 Master for video and KOLORS 2.0 for images. These innovations push visual generation to new heights of realism and creative control, now going toe-to-toe with giants like Google Veo and Midjourney.
Details:
-
KLING 2.0 Master transforms video creation with a deep understanding of creative intent. Imagine describing an entire sequence (camera moves, emotional expressions, successive actions) and watching your vision come to life with impressively cinematic fluidity.
-
KOLORS 2.0 redefines image generation with a palette of more than 60 styles and remarkable fidelity to the details you specify. Precise reproduction of colors, shapes and compositions comes with intuitive editing tools to fine-tune every creation in just a few clicks.
-
The multimodal editing system now lets you combine text, images and videos as references, setting up a true creative dialogue between human and machine.
Why I’m telling you about this ‡οΈ
These advances pave the way for more intuitive creative collaboration between humans and AI. From storyboarding to prototyping to advertising, Kling AI 2.0 gives content creators tools that respond precisely to their artistic intent, gradually changing the way we design and produce visual content.

LEARN TO MASTER AI
π¬ Bring your products to life with Luma Ray 2 camera moves
The Luma (Dream Machine) video generator has just upgraded its Ray 2 model with a particularly impressive feature: camera moves. With more than 20 optimized moves, this update promises smoother, more realistic animations than ever, with remarkable spatial consistency.
Among these options, the Bolt Cam move stands out for its ultra-dynamic feel, perfect for showcasing your products in an energetic, eye-catching way.
Tutorial steps:
1οΈβ£ Pick a high-quality product image, ideally in a 3/4 view.

2οΈβ£ Upload your visual as a key frame. For best results, use the same image as both the start and end frame to keep your generation on track and avoid overly fanciful angles.
3οΈβ£ Open the camera menu and select the “Bolt Cam” effect.

4οΈβ£ Run the generation without adding any extra prompt – the camera effect is powerful enough on its own.

A few things to keep in mind before you dive in:
-
This feature requires a paid subscription to Luma (starting at $10 a month)
-
Even with a premium account, expect a 20 to 30 minute wait before the generation starts
-
Results can vary: sometimes questionable angles, possible degradation of text or logos, and unexpected changes to your product’s design

Despite these limitations, these new motion options deliver a look rarely matched in video generation, with exceptionally lively animations that truly bring your products to life.
WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS
β° AI could wipe out all disease, says Hassabis

What’s next for AI at DeepMind, Google’s artificial intelligence lab | 60 Minutes
Demis Hassabis, Nobel laureate and CEO of Google DeepMind, recently gave an interview to 60 Minutes. He shares his view on the timeline for AGI, current progress and AI’s transformative potential in medicine, while also showing off DeepMind’s “Project Astra” assistant.
Details:
-
According to Hassabis, AI-assisted drug discovery could dramatically shorten medical timelines, from years down to a few weeks, with the potential to eliminate all disease within the next decade.
-
His Project Astra demo highlighted painting identification and emotion reading capabilities, and even a version built into glasses offering real-time visual understanding.
-
Hassabis believes AGI will arrive in 5 to 10 years. While he doesn’t consider today’s AI to be conscious, he doesn’t rule out the possibility that it could emerge in some form in the future.
-
Another demo featured an experimental robotic system with reasoning capabilities, able to grasp abstract concepts like mixing colors.
Why I’m telling you about this
These predictions aren’t just overblown enthusiasm; they reflect the deep conviction of a major, Nobel-winning player in the field. While ambitious goals like eradicating disease and “radical abundance” may sound utopian, it’s worth remembering that 5 to 10 years of exponential growth is a scale of progress our minds have a hard time grasping.
