Runway ML has officially launched Gen-3 Alpha Turbo, the latest version of its AI video generation model, which the company says is 7 times faster and half the price of its predecessor, Gen-3 Alpha.

How fast is it?

The new “turbo” version of Runway’s Gen-3 AI model can generate a 10-second video from a single image in just 15 seconds, making video production nearly real-time.

How does it stack up against the base model?

While the base model handles dynamic motion well, it can sometimes cause distortions or unnatural visual shifts. Turbo, on the other hand, delivers steadier, simpler motion.

What will it do?

The device is designed to work as a command center, a videoconferencing tool and a remotely controlled security system.

How will users interact with it?

The main way to interact with the device is expected to be through Siri and other Apple Intelligence features. It could include capabilities like voice recognition and the ability to respond to commands such as “look at me” to focus on whoever is speaking.

When will it come out?

According to Bloomberg’s sources, Apple plans to launch the product in 2026 or 2027, at an estimated price of around $1,000.
